2010 - 2022
Parsons Inc.
Principal Engineer & Project Manager
I've inspected over 1,600 structures all over North America. I led inspection teams as we travelled around and inspected infrastructure (mostly bridges), checking for defects, and creating a report for our clients. We helped clients prioritize repairs, and assisted in finding qualified contractors to perform rehabilitation.
I was the Design Manager and Engineer-of-Record for over 300 railway and pedestrian hiking trail bridges throughout Canada.
Finally, I also worked as a Project Management Analyst, where it was my job to continuously check budgets, schedules, and quality across the corporation.
2007 - 2009
Delcan Corporation, Stantec Inc., and Read Jones Christoffersen
Co-Op - Structures Division
During my summers off from university, I was fortunate to have the opportunities to work a variety of tasks for three outstanding firms listed above. My focus was mostly on site inspections and structural design, but my mentors also were gracious to involve me in proposal writing and some stages of Project Management - skills that I have honed over the years and benefit me greatly in my current day-to-day activities.
2004 - 2006
Vickory & Sons, Scansa Construction
General Labourer - Residential Construction
I've wanted to be an engineer since I played with Lego in Kindergarten, and I've always believed that if you are going to tell someone how to build things, then you better have built things yourself. So I worked summer jobs in construction to learn hands-on practical skills, that I can now apply in my engineering designs.

WSP USA Inc.
Senior Vice President, Senior Director, National Rail Bridge Leader
In simplest terms, my job is to "Grow the Rail Bridge Group."
Across WSP's 70,000 employees, roughly a third reside in the US, and I am finding that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of employees with skills to facilitate rail and rail bridge projects.
I am involved in engineering and project management, but my focus is on Business Development and Executive Management to grow our Rail Bridge Group to its highest potential.
